Firefighter & EMS Training
At Upper McKenzie Rural Fire Protection District, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, hands-on training to prepare our members for the wide range of emergencies they may face.
We hold training drills every Thursday at 7:00 PM. Each month includes:
- Three fire-focused drills covering topics such as structural and wildland firefighting, hazardous materials, water rescue, and public safety education.
- One EMS-focused drill, providing essential training for medical response.
In addition to weekly drills, we occasionally offer weekend sessions for specialized or advanced training. When training needs exceed our in-house capabilities, members may be sent to partner agencies or regional training facilities to expand their skills and experience.
Safety is always our top priority. All instructors and participants are expected to follow strict safety protocols during every session. We believe that how we train is how we perform—so safe practices are reinforced every step of the way.
